Wrestlemania 29: THE OFFICIAL JIMMY SICK PREDICTIONS!

I don’t think I need to go into any long drawn out rambling diatribe about me and my greatness..

Because hell.. you guys already know how excellent my predictions are.

So there.

Well let’s get straight into it..

Why..?

BECAUSE IT’S WRESTLEMANIA SUNDAY PEOPLE!!

Wade Barrett (Champion) vs The Miz (For the Intercontinental Title): The fact that this one is a preshow match, really irks me honestly. With the great new direction the Miz has been going & the fact Wade Barrett is as good, if not better than almost any wrestler on the roster today, makes it a hard pill to swallow that they won’t be allowed to shine on the grandest stage of them all. Oh well, this isn’t a day to cry about it..

This has been an excellent little many feud and well.. both are winners in this one. In the end though..

WINNER: Wade Barrett retains his title.

Tons of Funk (Tensai & Brodus Clay) & the Funkadactyls (Naomi & Cameron) vs. Team Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) & The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie) (8 Person Mixed Tag Match): So uh.. not sure here. This is obviously one of the fun throwback style matches Wrestlemania has ALWAYS delievered. With that said.. I’m oddly excited about this one. I know, right?! The crazy charisma of all the competitors and the chemistry they all share is OUTSTANDING.

Winners: The Crew of Funk. That will be followed by one of the best dance scenes in pay per view history!

Chris Jericho vs Fandango: I’m not even sure what to think of this match. Before I start, I want to say I like Johnny Curtis. I sincerely believe him to be a good talent who can go far in this industry with some polishing of his overall package. I mean that.. But why in the hell is Y2J in this match at Wrestlemania? I’m positive he’ll steal the show with the young dancer turned wrestler.. but shouldn’t he be stealing the show in a larger match? Oh well..

WINNER: I want to say Jericho, but I can see this being some sort of springboard for Fandango. So.. Fandango.

Triple H vs Brock Lesnar (NO HOLDS BARRED – If Triple H Loses, His Career is OVER): This.. This right here.. is what Wrestlemania was designed for. This match is going to be everything that embodies greatness and Era’s gone by the wayside. It’s going to be brutal. It’s going to be beautiful. It’s going to be one of the best matches we’ve seen in quite some time. These are facts. The lead up for this match has been amazing, but this is one of those rare occasions when the match will be better than the build.

WINNER: Us fans! More importantly though.. Triple H.

Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langstan (For the WWE Tag Titles.): I think this could end up being a very good match. A strange chemistry amongst all the competitors in this one, but at the same time – it seem’s a bit rushed. Like they had no idea what they wanted to do with these men, so.. let’s put them together! Either way, in the end – I’m actually glad they did.

WINNERS: I feel it might just be time.. Dolph Ziggler & Big E. Langston

Ryback vs Mark Henry: Folks.. I don’t give one single solitary DAMN what wrestling purists have to say.. I’m VERY excited for this match up. This one isn’t going to be pretty by any stretch of the imagination. If you want technical wrestling, Youtube your favorite competitor, than only YOU know about – in an organization that draws 33 fans on any given friday night. I want to see two bulls go at it. I simply want to see two Alpha Males beat the crap out of each other. Period.

WINNER: Ryback FEED HIM MORE!!

Randy Orton, Big Show & Sheamus vs The Shield (Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns) (6 Man Tag Match): This match is one EVERYBODY should be excited for. It’s going to showcase 3 young men under a spotlight of greatness at wrestling’s Superbowl. My point? Well asshat.. My point is, you will be seeing the birth of 3 new MAJOR players in our favorite sport. Anyone who can take a match/feud with the likes of Orton, Sheamus & Show to Wrestlemania & have the world doubting that those 3 main event main stays ccan defeat you.. are doing EVERYTHING right. The Shield is something special people. Game changers. This match would be just that as well.. a game changer.

WINNERS: Orton, Sheamus & Big Show (But The Shield will shine!)

The Undertaker vs CM Punk: The probable match of the night/YEAR. The buildup was slow in my opinion. I just didn’t care for it.. That is until last monday. What an ending to RAW! This match SHOULD be everything we hope for and more. Is The Streak truly in danger at the hands of the Best in the World? I love how as time goes on.. people worry more each year about The Undertaker! That’s a great part of the story in my opinion.

WINNER: The Undertaker.. DUH!

Alberto Del Rio (Champion) vs Jack Swagger (World Heavyweight Title Match): This is a match I’m VERY excited about. Being a fan of both, but especially a long time Swagger freak.. I think this is the night both men show the world they deserve to be right up front. They are going to shove their greatness down everyones throats! They are going to show WHY they are in one of the main events at Wrestlemania damnit!

WINNER: Jack Swagger (Then a possible MITB Cash In by Ziggler.)

The Rock (Champion) vs John Cena (WWE Championship Match): This match just doesn’t have the same feel of last year’s match to me. I’m not a fan of the build up & sincerely believe Cena just didn’t make us care enough. I can’t place all the blame on him, but honestly if you HAVE to have your competitor right there to play off of & make the fans care that way.. you lack that little piece of greatness that the Legends have in their arsenal. That’s just my opinion.. which mean’s it’s true. HA!

WINNER: John Cena..

There you have it.

A pretty stacked card from head to toe.

I can say without any doubt, that I’m positive this one is going to be a great one.

Are you as excited as I am?

OF COURSE YOU ARE!

Now it’s time to sit back & watch my overall prediction greatness!

Enjoy the show tonight people..

Wrestlemania is why the majority of fans ARE fans!

Wrestlemania 29: The Memories of Today

I think the title of this one, just might say it all folks, but if you consider yourself a wrestling fan over the course of the last 30 years, then this time of year.. is what dreams are made of.

When this time of year comes around visions of giants, muscular behemoths, superstars from every genre & events that take your breath away – swirl in the head of almost everyone that has ever been a fan of the greatest sport in the history of mankind.

Names like Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Rock, John Cena, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and of course The Undertaker have become household names with the help of their showings in this.. The most epic of all epic platforms.

Wrestlemania.. Where Gods are made.

This year is no different folks, as the three main events at this years Showcase of the Immortals are simply INCREDIBLE.. on paper.

The Rock vs John Cena Part 2 – Didn’t have that IMPACT match feel (Atleast to me.), until the last couple of weeks on RAW.

I suppose the push to make people care, just seemed to rushed for my liking.

Now don’t get me wrong, I believe this match will deliver a LOT better than last years bout..

It better..

But at the sametime, it just has an odd aura around it.

Just not as captivating this time around.

I know a LOT of people would blame the Rock for that, but to me personally I feel the blame lies on John Cena.

Now I know that this will come off as just another Cena bashing post, but in all actuality, it’s the opposite.

Bare with me..

The Rock has brought back something special to the title in my eyes.

The fact he hasn’t been around for every episode, too me anyways.. is a good thing.

It brings back memories of once a month title defenses.

It brings back meaning to the title.

It makes it finally feel special again.

With that said, I just don’t feel that John Cena has talked us into caring about this match.

It’s not a shot at him, I just don’t feel he has delievered his best here in this instance.

It just felt forced.

John.. despite my personal feelings & what a ton of fans say to bash you.. I know you’re better than what you’ve shown.

As the man who stands front and center for the WWE.. He should have been able to make more people care & make this match feel more special..

I.. personally.. Feel that he didn’t do that.

I hope the match brings the goods to shut up all the non-believers.

Only time will tell..

Main event numero dose.. The King of Kings.. The Game.. Mr. In Charge, himself.. Triple H takes on the monster known as.. Brock Lesnar!

This is a match I am VERY excited to see.

Anyone who isn’t, can never bitch about not having their Holy Grail Attitude Era back, again.

This match embodies everything that IS the Attitude Era!

No rules, no count outs & GREAT EXPECTATIONS!

Plus.. there will be blood. Oh yes.. There will be blood.

It’s going to be savage.

Vicious.

And hopefully.. A Wrestlemania memory that will live on forever.

Now..

The one I personally, (Because as most of you know, I’m a massive fan of both competitors.) should be the most excited about – CM Punk vs The Undertaker!

Well..

I’m sad to say I’m not.

I’m positive this match will be amazing.

There’s no doubt about that at all, with the drive and heart that these two men share..

They HAVE to steal the show.

It’s in their DNA to be the best.. & I’m sure they will.

I’m just not overly excited with how they’ve gone about building this match.

I’m not one of the whiney, crying “fans” out there who are all outraged at how they are spitting all over the memory of Paul Bearer..

To the contrary, I believe Paul would have wanted them to do this – I’m just not that impressed with how it has played out.

That pains me to say, but I’m always here to be honest with you guys!

Unless I don’t wanna be.. in that case you just shut up and take it!

I will admit though, the ending segment last monday was FANTASTIC!

I think they finally killed it!

That really made me think.. oh Christ.. Punk is gonna get murdered.

But in the back of my mind it also made me think.. well, will Undertaker make mistakes because of it.

So they did their job to perfection there.

So now that the “biggies” have been mentioned, I really want to talk about another of the bouts I’m totally STOKED about..

Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger.

I’m just as surprised as you are..

These two are having an INCREDIBLE feud & this match is going to bring the house down in my eyes.

The addition of Zeb Coulter/Dutch Mantell to the roster and Swaggers life – was the most briliant thing I’ve seen in ages.

That entire angle screams perfection.

We The People!

I’m ALMOST convinced that Swagger will win the title & Dolph Ziggler (His former tag partner & friend.) will cash in his MITB briefcase almost immediately.

Setting up an outstanding feud between two of the best and most underutilized talents in the sport!

But for that magical few minutes on the grandest stage of them all.. Swagger & ADR are going to make us stand up and salute their greatness.

These are facts..

I’ll be gracing your screens with my more detailed “Official Predictions” report this weekend, but this was more of a “Jimmy Sick wanted to share how happy I am right now” type of story.

Nothing.. nothing SHOULD make you happier in life right now, than being a wrestling fan.

This is like our Christmas, birthday & New Years all wrapped up into one spectacular sports package.

So with that said..

What do you think folks?

Who or what are you most excited about at this years Wrestlemania?

Goldust: The Bizarre One is Still Golden!

Anyone who knows me personally or professionally, knows that I am a HUGE fan of Dustin Rhodes.

Be it any carnation of his characters.

I think he is truly one of THE MOST underrated pure wrestling talents EVER.

Going back to the days as “The Natural” wrestling in the huge shadow cast down upon him by his legendary father, “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes in WCW, I was just a massive fan.

I thought to myself a million times.. and honestly, I still believe this, he is 10 times the wrestler inside the ring, than his legendary dad ever was.

You’re damn right I said it.

And you’re damn right I mean it.

Dustin could have an amazing match with ANYONE!

Plus, he had one similar charisma trait, that his father had..

He made me care.

I hated seeing him get attacked.

I hated when he lost!

I screamed and cheered my head off when he won.

I just CARED!

Fast forward a few years and um.. Where do  I even start?

Goldust.

This is my personal opinion, and my personal opinion only..

I feel Goldust (Aside from maybe the Undertaker.) is one of the best characters the world of professional wrestling has come up with in at least the last 20 years.

Charisma, athleticism, mic skills that people would kill for, a crowd reaction that was INTENSE and amazing matches.

What the hell more could you even ask for?

NOBODY had ever brought forth the kind of crowd reaction that Goldust did/does.

It was amazing.. and at the same time.. HILARIOUS!

Legendary feuds with the likes of Scott Hall, Roddy Piper & Triple H were some of the absolute best angles & segments the WWF had delivered in YEARS.

Whether you wanted him to win, or you wanted him to lose.. you still HAD to see the match!

There in lies the genius of it all!

Now flash forward a few years once more.

Today..

Well just a couple of weeks before The Bizarre Golden One made a triumphant return at the 26th Annual Royal Rumble..

I had the true pleasure of seeing Goldust at a live event at the beginning of January.

To say this was HUGE for me, would be the most major of understatements!

I was supposed to watch Goldust take on the Masterpiece himself – Chris Masters, but for whatever reason, Masters took it upon himself to show up at another event instead.

With that said, I was witness to something that still, although almost a month removed, impresses the hell out of me.

I watched Goldust, a veteran, a legend and one of the best ever – step into the ring with a young up and coming wrestler by the name of Manscout Manning.

As I watched the back & forth between the two on the mic & then the match that followed later in the evening..

I was blown away.

Goldust, who could have wrestled any of the other legends on the card that night, CHOSE to wrestle this kid – to help this young man & the company he was working for that night.

What more could you ever ask for or expect from a true legend?

This was a shining example of a man who loves his sport, loving to give back to his sport.

So that night, I honestly found one more reason to like Goldust even more..

He respects, loves & is as big a fan of his sport.. as WE ALL ARE!

So basically, anyone out there who is reading this right now – do yourself 2 favors..

First, pick up Dustin Rhodes’ book “Cross Rhodes.”

It’s the incredible and very uplifting story of his life AND redemption.

Secondly, make sure you get your butt out there and watch this man perform live at least once.

Seeing a legend bring forth his craft so effortlessly, I promise you.. you’ll be mesmerized.

I would just like to end this article by saying this one thing..

Thank you Mr. Rhodes for everything you’ve done for your sport.

TNA’s Aces & 8′s Just Got MORE Terrifying: Why Wes & Garett? Why?

I’ll try to keep this one as short, sweet and too the point, as I possibly can.

Wow..

Of course it was rumored, and the secret was out of the bag for a while for a lot of us fans.

But I still have to admit, I REALLY enjoyed tonight’s angle!

Firstly, the cage match between Kurt Angle & Mr. Anderson was FANTASTIC.

The ending though, that put it over the top.

I’ve not held back my feelings at all about the Aces & 8′s group.

I dig them.

A LOT!

I think it’s a great accumulation of talent.

People got a little tired of the ongoing attacks and such, but personally I’m a fan of long running and thought out angles.

This one ranks right up there for me.

Especially in TNA!

Because let’s be honest.. they have changed their minds on angles, segments and pushes, more times than I could even hope to remember.

Aces & 8′s though.. Perfection.

Having Garett Bischoff & Wes Brisco as members only enhances this group even more.

Youth, attitude and athleticsm are just a few of the bright spots these two will bring.

But, with all that said.. They just attacked KURT ANGLE!

Watch your back boys.. things are about to get a LOT more interesting!

Wrestling Fans.. THIS is Why We Hate Each Other!

Well Well Well..

Looky there..

It’s a whole nother year and welp…..

HAPPY 2013 FOLKS FROM ALL OF US HERE AT JIMMYSICK.COM!

I trust that everyone out there had a wonderful holidays?

Beautiful!

Around the ol’ Sick household, we had a manificent Christmas filled with love, happiness and some outstanding memories.

Now that we’ve gotten that hogwash out of the way..

Let’s get straight to it..

Wrestling “fans” irritate the hell out of me.

There.. I said it.

Every single thing that is mentioned about the WWE these day’s, is undoubtedly followed up with one retort..

“I miss the Attitude Era!”

The Attitude Era is this Golden God – that was simply the best thing since sliced bread and making love to a woman were invented!

While yes.. It was an amazing time to be a fan..

It’s over.

Get over it.

Period.

Everything in World Wrestling Entertainment can’t be fixed, by bringing up a period that ended nearly a decade ago!

Do you mindless sheep who shout this at EVERY opportunity understand that concept?

I don’t think you do.

My entire point so far in this article/RANT, was leading to this..

Why in the HELL do the people who “LOVE” the Attitude Era & scream for it to no end..

BITCH WHEN THE ROCK COMES BACK?!

These idiots make absolutely NO SENSE!

For people to cry, bitch and moan for everything that WAS that era in the sport..

Why do you despise one if it’s key components?

Answer me that with a decent, clear & NON-profanity laced arguement.

Impossible, I know..

Here’s the way it looks to me..

For all of you people out there that have NO PROBLEM AT ALL, telling anyone who will listen how much you HATE John Cena..

The moment he expresses a scripted rant about how the Rock has turned his back on us all.

In Cena’s mind – The Rock doesn’t care about the world that brought him all his fame and success!

It was an outrage to the Captain Save-A-Fed!

The moment that rant happened, was when most of you began YOUR bitchfest.

So ipso facto.. You Cena “Haters” completely turned on one of your biggest loves.

HA! How can you not be embarassed about that stance?

It makes ZERO sense.

For all of you folk to supposedly hate Mr. Cena SO MUCH, you sure suckled on his teet of hate on this one.

For shame!

When you think of the much beloved Attitude Era, you think of two names/faces/ICONS.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin.. & *GASP* THE ROCK!

Shocking isn’t it? I’ll let this settle on you..

Finished now? Cleaned yourself up?

So let me try to get this straight in my little brain..

You want the Attitude Era back, because it’s the only way to save wrestling..

But you hate the Rock & the WWE for having him come back?

To quote Mr. Austin.. WHAT?

So uh.. think about it brainiac..

Steve Austin RARELY makes an appearance on WWE television anymore.

At all..

But does he catch a world of crap for it?

Hell no! He’s STONE COLD!

The Undertaker makes one appearance a year now basically..

Do people bitch about that to no end.. all day.. everyday?

Not one bit.

Anytime there is a Legends night or anything of the sort..

You no doubt here this chant ATLEAST once..

“You still got it!!”

But the Rock..

Well.. he’s the devil.

He’s everything that is wrong with wrestling.

Basically, I have no ending to this article – other than to say this..

Can you PLEASE..

For once..

Maybe.. just maybe..

Think for yourself.

Shut up.

AND ENJOY THE DAMN SHOW?!

Thank you & good day to you!

WWE’s Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV: The OFFICIAL Predictions!

If you can’t figure out what this one is about folks..

Then adjust your helmet straps and get your drool cup ready..

BECAUSE TLC IS UPON US!

WWE’s last pay per view offering of 2012 hits this Sunday, December 16th.

Time once again for you guys to make your calls to Vegas, Atlantic City or uh.. your Cousin Vinnie?

Hmm..

Anyways, because here’s my OFFICIAL Jimmy Sick Predictions!

And away we go..

WWE United States Championship Match: Antonio Cesaro(C) vs R-TruthThis feud has been excellent all the way around! Honestly the feud which has also included Barrett & Kingston has been more fun each week. Good matches. Good interviews. Great stuff! Really impressed with all involved!

Winner: Antonio Cesaro by pinfall.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Kofi Kingston(C) vs Wade BarrettSee above for my thoughts here.

Winner: I want to say Wade Barrett, but I honestly think Kofi will shine here. So Kofi by pinfall.

Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Big Show(C) vs SheamusI’m sure like most people, when I saw that this feud was taking form, I groaned just a bit, but I have to admit.. they work REALLY well together. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this feud! This match will be a little different than the rest though. Why? BRUTALITY! YAAY! There is nothing more fun than watching two human horses beat the hell out of each other with a steel chair. This one is going to be epic in it’s hurtfest!

Winner: Sheamus by pinfall.

Ladder Match for the MITB Contract: Dolph Ziggler (Holder) vs John CenaAnother feud with two guys that fit each other REALLY well. I make no qualms about not being the biggest Cena fan in the world, but he can flat out work great, with Ziggler. I see this match playing out just one way.. I hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t know. I see this as the stepping stone to Rock/Cena 2 at Wrestlemania 29.

Winner: John Cena

6-Man TLC Match: Ryback & Team Hell No vs The ShieldWhat can you say about this one? It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be spectacular. It’s to shine the spotlight on 6 men who truly deserve it. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS MATCH! Do I think it will be a fair match? *Dean Ambrose voice* Nope. I do believe there will be shenanigans afoot here. But the best kind of shenanigans! Something that leads to something that leads to greatness! So uh.. YEAH!

Winners: The Shield by pinfall. (After some interference.)

There you have it.

I think the 2012 edition of TLC is going to be a pretty damn good show honestly.

A lot of talent.

A lot on the line.

A lot of disputes are going to come to a close.

This one is a must see, if only to set up things for 2013!

As with the other prediction post..

I’d love to hear your thoughts & predictions on TLC!

The OFFICIAL Jimmy Sick WWE Slammy Predictions!

I think the title speaks for itself..

I don’t really need to drop a clever intro.

I think you guys aren’t expecting that.

No sir!

I’m going to get straight to this.

Right now..

See what I did there?

Comedy people!

Anyways..

Here’s my predictions!

Breakout Star of the Year: This one was a toughie because of 2 gentlemen. Ryback & Dolph Ziggler. But since I have to choose just the one..

Winner: Ryback

Comeback of the Year: For me personally, this was a no brainer.. Jerry “The King” Lawler. I know Brock Lesnar and even Chris Jericho rank VERY high on this one, but c’mon.. The King came back from a heart attack that literally left him dead. Amazing.

Kiss of the Year: Cena and Aj. Hands down. There was a second there when I thought we were going to see Cena atleast give her a stink pinky.

The “Tell me I did NOT just see that” Award: I have this one as a tie. So here they are..

1) Jerry Lawler’s Heart Attack live on RAW

2) The 1,000th Episode of RAW & CM Punk’s shocking attack of the Rock.

The “LOL Moment of the Year”: The Anger Management Segments. Kane’s speech, was by far the funniest thing I’ve seen on WWE programming in YEARS. Hilarious!

Match of the Year Award: Undertaker vs Triple H (Hell in a Cell match at Wrestlemania 28)

Last but certainly not least…

WWE Superstar of the Year: CM Punk.

Now I realize that some/most/ALL are the way I’D choose, but probably not the rest of the “UNIVERSE.”

That’s fine though..

To me.. these were the no brainers in a fair world.

So there you have it!

Now, I’d like to hear your thoughts & choices!

Comment below about how you felt about my predictions & what some of YOURS are.

Then..

We need only sit back, relax & watch the show.

The Shield: WWE’s Protection Against INJUSTICE!

Welp, it was inevitable.

I’m sure my loyal readers knew it was coming..

Mr. Jimmy Sick the 23rd esquire.. DDS, is doing a story on The Shield.

Did I just blow your mind?

Shut up Captain Sarcasm!

Just sit back and enjoy the read.

Sheesh.. these people!

I will start by saying that in my humble, but usually totally correct, opinion..

The Shield is quite possibly the best trio of young talent, the WWE has EVER put together.

I know.

That’s pretty bold, looking back at the excellent teams, groups and alliances that have been formed by the WWE over the years.

I truly believe it though.

The hype that Dean Ambrose has been enveloped in.. Well..

It’s rightfully so.

Dean Ambrose is an incredible professional wrestler.

A superstar that doesn’t come along very often.

He is as amazing with a microphone in his hand as he is ring doing battle.

The man was plain and simply born to do this.

Period.

Seth Rollins’ in ring work speaks for itself.

The young man can go.

And not only can he just go.. he can go with just about ANYONE you put in front of him.

I’ve been a Rollins fan for a long time now, so to see him in this position is just as exciting as Ambrose being involved.

Even with all that has been mentioned. the “X Factor” could honestly end up being Roman Reigns.

Let’s face it..

The kid is good looking.

He’s got the physique.

He has that powerhouse bruiser Samoan style that the world loves.

Reigns could.. COULD.. end up fairing as well as the Rock with a LOT of work.

But, he seem’s to enjoy the hardwork – so I say keep an eye on this kid.

The fact that the Shield has the wrestling world abuzz, is also a good thing for one simple reason.

They knew a good portion of their fans liked these guys a lot, & actually gave them a chance.

Have any of you members of the IWC took them time to stop bitching about your latest flame war problem, to thank them?

I doubt it.. HA!

Not all the publicity has been good I guess.

The NWO comparisons.

The Nexus similarities.

The fact that they are being compared to every other wrestling group..

EVER.

Of course they all are.

Honestly, I don’t feel the need to defend the team here.

Wrestling has ALWAYS recycled idea’s that work.

This one does!

I’m all for anything that brings this young core of talent to my tv screen week after week.

The only issue I can see here?

Well, “Unknown” (To your average everyday fan.. they still are.) talents in a group, rarely make it for the long haul.

I hate that it happens that way..

But it does.

Now as for where I’d love to see them end up as a group?

I think I want them to end up where every other fan boy does..

Being lead into battle by Paul Heyman and Mr. Best in the World himself..

CM PUNK!

I’d also like to see Brad Maddox thrown into their mix eventually.

As a sidenote, I’d like to mention that I’m a fan of Maddox, so there.

Anyways, back on topic..

I’d love to see them associated with Punk in a more “in your face” way.

I’d also enjoy seeing them dominate the tag team division.

Calling it an injustice that the division has been ignored and depleted for so long.

Or just something along those lines.

Unfortunately though..

I just don’t see them lasting MUCH longer after the Rumble.

Not unfortunately though.. WE WILL HAVE THEM AS SINGLES COMPETITORS!

So here’s what I’m basically wanting to say..

What do you think?

Do you guys & girls think the Shield is in for a long run?

Or..

Do you believe them to have a short run & then go onto singles greatness?

Although I’m sure most of you will be wrong..

I’m still looking forward to reading your thoughts on the subject! HA!

Until next time.. I’m going to go watch video of the Ambrose/Regal feud from FCW for like the 99,000th time!

The Year of Punk: WWE’s Missed Opportunities?

I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween filled with FULL SIZE candy bars and no pennies or religious pamphlets on the evils of the holiday!

I also trust that everyone had a pleasant and happy Thanksgiving filled with total happiness and turkey related nap times..

Yes’sir – I am back at it again.

Honestly though, this one is a little different. This isn’t a rant filled “wish list” as some of the stories can be.

Basically, this one is an observation. A wrestling fan observation. A WWE wrestling fan observation.

And most importantly, a CM Punk WWE wrestling fan observation.

“The Best in the World” has been WWE champion for over one year now.The title reign has been magical. He has had some great matches, with some excellent opponents.

His promos and character have developed and then gone in another direction.

CM Punk also proved to the world, that he is INDEED a “Paul Heyman Guy.”

In all aspects, you could argue that the championship reign of the bad ass from Chicago, has been a complete and total success.

So why am I writing about this AGAIN?

As I stated at the beginning, this one is a little different simply based upon the observations. For example..

Was this title reign successful at getting anyone else over? Aside from Ryback, who else has reaped the benefits? That’s my issue right now.

As I sat back and watched Hell in a Cell (Which I enjoyed by the way.) & watched as the subsequent rematch was announced.. and then as I watched The Survivor Series Triple Threat which was great in it’s own way as well..I started to think of just this.

Nobody in the world is a bigger CM Punk fan than I am. That is a FACT.

Nobody has more respect for him as a wrestler and as a man, than ol’ Jimmy Sick. FACT.

Plus, you’d be hard pressed to find a bigger WWE fan. FACT.

With all of that said, and repeated..I think they have really missed some golden opportunities with this year long run.

Why weren’t more guys on the mid card given a chance at the title? They didn’t have to be booked to win the title. Didn’t have to have to be booked in some elaborate feud either.

Just give them a shot at the title. Give CM Punk, the Ric Flair NWA champion treatment.

Go out there and shine and have great matches with guys who bring it that night and EVERYBODY wins.

This wasn’t just a slight to the other talent or us fans..It was also a slight to CM Punk in my eyes.

I hope by now, we all realize he could/can (And has.) had brilliant matches with just about anyone.

Why not let them show that?!

Remember when Brock Lesnar was champion and Hardcore Holly came back from injury  and began attacking Brock?

Holly got his title shot and his bad ass reputation was solidified even more than before.

Remember when a young new comer by the name of John Cena was injured and hungry and threatening Brock Lesnar on a weekly basis until he was able to return to the ring?

THESE ANGLES WORKED!

Any wrestling fan who has been a wrestling fan for 30 years or more, remembers the way it was in the territory days.

Our best guy get’s a shot at the champ. He loses by unfair practices, or wins it by dqor countout or something along those lines.

Our guy looks like a million bucks and so does the champ.

Why? Because people HAVE to see the champ get beat by their guy next time! Period.

Another example that tells you this could work is the night “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton took on “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair for the WCW crown at Clash of the Champions.

There was hardly any build up for the match.

No massive blood feud that followed.

No title changing hands.

Just one of the best, most hard hotly contested matches EVER and it made a star out of the already beloved Eaton.

Who the hell doesn’t believe this can’t work today?! That’s crazy talk!

Put an incredible talent in the ring with the WORLD CHAMPION and both make the other look like a million bucks.

Where is the “BAD PART” in this scenario at all?

Guys like Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Tyson Kidd, Christian (If he was not injured & actually was given a chance to shine.) Cody Rhodes, Brodus Clay, The Miz (Kills me to say he’s a mid carder now, but that’s for another day.)..

All of these men ( and many more honestly.) could have been given atleast one or two shot and had their time to shine. If not for just that one night!

This is one place where, to me anyways – that the WWE has lost touch with it’s WRESTLING roots.

The champion should be making every wrestler on the roster look good. Not just himself!

Granted, I’m almost positive CM Punk could care less about being champion for one year, two years or 35 years.

What’s it really do for him?

We already knew he was great – does being champion longer make you think he’s even MORE great?

I guess what it boils down too, is this..

The Best in the World, should show it night in and night out.. against everyone. Not just against fellow main eventers. But EVERYONE.

I really think WWE has done themselves, us fans, the entire roster and most importantly CM Punk a real injustice with this situation.

Best in the World, could have easily been seen as the Best of ALL TIME if they would have even considered treating him as such.

It really is a shame.

I hope as we approach the holiday season, this was a little food for thought for everyone.

Check out the awesomeness for yourself on the CM PUNK blu-ray from the folks at Amazon!

Until next time..

“Feed Me PUNK!”: Is Ryback The Next WWE Champion?

I’m going to start by saying just this..

I’m not going to be lumped in with all the idiots who say his character is a rip off of someone elses.

“He’s a Goldberg clone!”

“He has the same tights as RVD!”

“He hasn’t proved anything!”

What does Jimmy Sick say?

PLEASE JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!

A Goldberg clone?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t people bitching about Goldberg being a Stone Cold clone when he entered the business?

Remember how Goldberg got over?

BY BEATING A TON OF GUYS AT THE BEGINNING OF HIS CAREER!

Shocking isn’t it?

He hasn’t proved anything?

Are you kidding me?!

THE GUY IS IN THE WWE AND NOW IN THE MAIN EVENT PICTURE!

What more does he have to prove?

Wrestling fans these days..

NO.

INTERNET wrestling fans these days are the most fickle so and so’s you’ll ever find and it’s TOO DAMN ANNOYING.

Let’s just put it this way..

The WWE could care less about your/our opinions.

Why?

Because of crap like this! HA!

Ok enough of my soapbox rant.

No point in dishing out anything else anyways, not like the majority would agree.

Stupid IWC.. HA!

So by now, unless you live under a rock.. in a cave.. on the moon.

You know that the main event for this weekends Hell in a Cell pay per view for WWE World Heavyweight Championship is..

CM Punk vs Ryback!

I’m sure you guys know how much of a Punk fan I am.

If not.. YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTING WHILST READING!

That being said..

Ready for a shocker?

Here it is..

I think it’s Ryback’s time.

Feed him the BELT.

*GASP*

Shocked a bit?

Has your old pal the Sickster finally lost it completely?

Nope. Not at all.

You want an instant star?

You want a brand spankin’ new main eventer?

You want someone not named Cena to represent the title picture for a while?

Here’s the chance!

Not convinced?

Why?

Ryback is untested?

Let the world title be his test.

Give it to a monster that doesn’t have to talk.

He just needs to hit the ring and feed on opponents of all shapes and sizes!

This guy could be the tweener champion that we’ve wanted for some time.

He’s a friend to no one!

Big Hungry could stand alone on top of the WWE mountain as champion.

Still not convinced?!

Jeez!

Are you of the belief that Punk has been champion for 340 days (As of today.) and deserves to be champion for even longer?

Why?

What else does he have left to prove as champion?

Do you honestly believe the title means that much to Punk?

Let’s not fool ourselves people.

He loves this sport and the money it has made him.

So why would he care if he’s champion even longer?

Does it make him any better?

No.

Does it make him weak to lose it?

No.

It comes down to one simple wrestling formula..

Punk is a bad guy, and bad guys are bred to lose.

Period.

Good has to beat Evil in the end.

That’s just the way it goes people.

Punk loses the title as a whiney crying heel who is still an INCREDIBLE talent.

OR..

There’s scenario numero dose..

CM Punk successfully defends his title.

Would anyone be upset by that?

Of course some of you would be!

“That’ll make Ryback look weak!”

“This is a no win situation!”

I call BS on this one.

My reasoning..

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LOSE TO THE WORLD CHAMPION!

HE’S THE CHAMPION!

*Eye twitches*

See?

Not exactly rocket science here people..

I personally feel Punk will retain at the pay per view in some underhanded fashion.

Will that hurt the way I look at Ryback?

Hell no!

He’s a walking wall of a man with an incredible future.

I’m going to LOVE sitting back and just taking it all in!

Ryback’s rise to stardom over the last few weeks has been fun to watch.

There’s not a single one of you that can say you saw it coming.

Falls back to the old reliable greatness of wrestling..

THE SURPRISE!

I sincerely believe he has taken the ball and ran with it.

Yet another reason I say give him the belt right now.

STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT!

You cannot tell me that if Ryback wins the title at Hell in a Cell, the roof wouldn’t blow off the arena.

The fans would go nuts!

That exact thought has to be going through Vince McMahon’s mind every night.

Wow..

As I sit here writing this, I’m becoming more and more excited about this powerful matchup!

Hell in a Cell can’t get here fast enough for my liking.

In just a few short day’s we’ll find out if Big Hungry can “feed” on the Best in the World..

Or will the champ put the challengers appetite to sleep?

Either way you look at it, in many ways this match could end up being a classic.

Thanks again WWE!

Until next time.. I’m off to think of some “hunger” terms for a champion Ryback!
