WWE to John Cena: APRIL FOOLS!

Where do I even begin? April 2012 has been anything but kind to Mr. WWE himself.. John Cena.

After all the talking. After all the intense promos and segments. After saying he won’t/CAN’T lose..

On April 1st, 2012, he lost to his dreaded arch nemeses; The Rock, at the show of shows.. Wrestlemania.

The expression on Cena’s face as Wrestlemania 28 came to a close, tells the entire story of that entire feud and the pain in its conclusion.

Fast forward 24 hours later to monday night RAW. At the end of an episode that saw the Rock make a very unusual and eye opening statement about wanting the WWE title again..

John Cena comes to the ring to own up to the fact that he lost to the better man the night before. A very commendable and respectful thing to do.

He also wanted to look the Rock directly in the eye and challenge him to another match/fight/ticklefest. Then.. IT happened.

The familiar music hits. The crowd goes insane. We knew exactly what and who it was.. and we KNEW one thing more than anything else..

HERE COMES THE PAIN!

Brock Lesnar has returned to the WWE!

With that said, his rage was focused solely on John Cena that night. One F-5 later and John Cena is laying in a heap.

Two nights, two seperate chinks in the armor of WWE’s warrior.

One week later on the April 9th edition of RAW.. RETROBUTION!

He steps into the ring and meets Brock Lesnar face to face. Slaps the monster in the face! He ends up with a bloody mouth in the INSANE pull apart brawl that follows.

He went at Brock Lesnar with all the fire of a man with nothing to lose, but everything to prove!

Only to be left laying once again by a Lesnar F-5 at the end of the night. Not the best of starts to this month at all, is it?

Well.. that depends if you’re fan or not.

Now, we make our way to the April 16th offering of RAW.

After being forced into a match with a mystery opponent, we found out at the end of the night just who he this opponent would be.

None other than the savage giant himself.. Lord Tensai!

After a pounding, a misting and a “Derailer” later..

John Cena loses again.

More than that.. he was left laying once more.

Now that we are all caught up, what do we think of this?

I’m sure most John Cena haters out there (I’m a non supporter myself as most know. But I do respect the man.), are absolutely LOVING this.

The man who NEVER shows weakness.. has shown NO strength over the last few weeks!

It’s boggling their minds and making them more than giddy, I’m sure.

“This could be it! This could be the start to our beloved and much wanted Cena heel turn! YAAY!”

“The WWE has finally woken up to what “we” want! HOORAY!”

Calm down slappy..

I honestly think the sequence of events we have here is setting up to much more.

What do I personally think?

Thank you for asking!

I think this is working towards making John Cena the underdog, to make us care all over again.

We boo him.. make us care about him.

We cheer him.. make us want to cheer him even more.

Right now, John Cena is beaten down by guys we’re not used to seeing.

It’s a whole new monster for the slayer to fight.

WWE wants us to will “our” hero to victory!

(Personally wish it was another hero.. but that’s neither here nor there.)

John Cena will be pounded, beaten, slapped, kicked, F-5′d and destroyed.

BUT.. he will NEVER give up.

He will return as the conquering champion every time.

Although some/a lot may not like it..

There’s always one constant in the world of professional wrestling.

Good defeats evil.

You may not agree. You might not want it that way.

Folks.. It HAS to be that way.

So overall, this John Cena: “April Shower of Pain” shall pass soon enough.

And hey.. if I turn out to be wrong.. Well, at least we get to see John Cena get his ass kicked a bunch of times.

I for one, think this story telling is some of the best that the WWE has come up with in quite a while.

I’m really looking forward to seeing where this leads.

All roads are pointed directly towards Wrestlemania 29 and I’m looking forward to the scenery along the way.
