The Road To Wrestlemania – The Royal Rumble 2012 (Part 3 of 4)

If the Myans were correct.. then the 2012 offering of the Royal Rumble could be our last!
So with that thought no doubt lingering in your head now, can the 25th anniversary of the years first helping of the big four live up to that kind of hype?

I like to think it can. Sheesh.. I sure hope it can!

With recent events on RAW & Smackdown and Wrestlemania looming on the horizon, this one should stack up to be a VERY entertaining Rumble.

Some special pieces for the Rumble were already put in place this past monday.

For example It looks like we might be getting Mick Foley in the Rumble match this year. I’m all for that! If for no other reason than to see one of my all time favorites try for one last piece of glory.

Chris Jericho showed his weasly side this past monday and we all love when that happens. Not sure if that is sarcasm or not honestly.. But just him returning in all his shiney LED light jacketed glory, should make for something big at the Rumble.

We also have insane mask sporting Kane back on the scene with more anger issues than ever before.

Wade Barrett has become a force to be rekoned with in the main event picture.

Dolph Ziggler could literally become world champion at any point. (Including at the Rumble via his title bout against CM Punk.)

Brodus Clay has danced and gyrated his way into the wrestling spotlight and many of our hearts aswell.

Cody Rhodes screams greatness. Miz, R-Truth, Sheamus, Zack Ryder, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, John Cena, Big Show, Randy Orton(Will he be there?), Christian(Possibly involved if his injuries are all healed.) are all still big money players.

Basically what I’m getting at here is the stage is honestly wide open for anybody to win the Rumble this year. That’s great for us all!

I for one really look forward to the surprise entrants that this show always offers up. Who will this one bring?

I fall back to a previous article I wrote about booking Brock Lesnar, where I mention seeing him at the Rumble would be outstanding. Can you imagine?!

As for other surprises, well – I’ve been racking my immense and extremely gifted brain and uh.. honestly, I can’t come up with who would be that total shocker this year as compared to others.

I guess that’s a good thing though if I’m being honest. Being able to just sit back, watch and enjoy the events unfold without putting much thought into it, is going to be simply fantastic.

It’s what wrestling is all about! Will all the talent and stories going into this Royal Rumble, I truly believe (HOPE) the 2012 edition – the 25th Anniversary of this special event- will be one we won’t soon forget.

Who knows, maybe another little boy from the south will be settling down on his families old brown couch to watch this event and will one day share his fondest memories of the whole thing with his kids (Or readers).

That’s the beauty of it all.. It’s where dreams begin.

In part 4 of this “Rumble Series” I’m going to give my choices on the order and who will definitely win. Call Vegas.. because you are going to read the sure thing!
